Daisies from the back garden
My daughter was curious to share her poem with me yesterday while walking back from school. I thought it would be interesting to listen to what she came up with.
I was reminded of the haiku app I installed sometime last year where we made up some haikus. It was lovely to make them together and it was a reminder we have something in common to do.
Well, this poem she had made up was about daisies. What followed was really random conversation which we added to the poem to make it more fun.
I must agree we’ve not laughed like that for a while now. We walked giggling sometimes and laughing out loud when we made up the second verse.
When the daisies grow
When the daisies grow
It makes us feel like we must take a bow (her line)Take a bow (mine)
When the daisies go
It makes us feel low
When we are glum
Please don’t be dumb
Don’t show your bum
Or the police officer will come
