Omg her clips are soooo cute. Did she pick them? Love the choices. I Actually love trying out new hairstyles. I would have loved to try some on her beautiful hair.
Seriously the young ones are so picky these days. And so sure about what they want. I wasn’t like that at all. The confidence and surety of what I wanted came many years later.
I am glad she is able to enjoy her vacation. A new experience of being away from mom. You take care.

You’re actually right, Tulika. Not bad I should say, now that I look at it, not bad at trying! 🙂 You are right, she used to wear a dupatta or a towel and used to ask me to pretend that was her long hair! 🙂 Wow, that’s a tough task and that’s exactly why it’s amazing. The magic it creates makes her forget the pain it causes in the twists of the hand I’m sure! 🙂

And you said you weren’t good with hairstyles! Just look at the ones you’ve tried. I love them all. The ballet bun is so neat.
My daughter, a teen now, is also fond of trying out hairstyles. She has always loved long hair. When she was a kid, she would roam around wearing a paranda all the time. Also, she learnt to do the French braid herself, while I still cannot.

Yes, let the kids be. Let them grow at their pace, doing what they enjoy doing. Their appearance has no relevance as long as they are happy and thriving well. I was also a skinny girl for a long time. Now I dread every time before our India trip as the questions have shifted from me being skinny to gained weight. I dread these questions though I know how to deal with them. But as kids these comments are soul crushing. What is the point of everyone looking the same, doing a similar job, living a similar life? It’s lovely to know that your daughter had a wonderful time exploring the lavender farm finding all sorts of bugs and birds. This was a beautiful read, Jayanthy.
